Job Description

Cottonwood Healthcare has an opportunity for an upcoming leader to join our team as an administrator in training and learn how to operate a skilled nursing facility with the end of goal of obtaining licensure as a nursing home administrator and being provided with a facility within the company to operate. We are looking for someone who is not afraid of doing hard things and has a talent for marketing, sales, customer service, and leadership. We need someone who can operate successfully in a high stress, complex environment and has a long term plan for becoming a leader and manager in healthcare.

As an administrator in training you will work with an experienced administrator in our company who will act as your preceptor as you learn all of the components of running a nursing home. Upon successful completion of the program you will sit for the national examination and get your nursing home administrator license. You will then be assigned to run one of the facilities for our company.

Being a nursing home administrator is to be a Chief Executive Officer of a multi million dollar healthcare organization that serves the most vulnerable in their community. This is a high impact role where you are responsible for every aspect of the operations. You are responsible for driving the mission of the company to create a great place to work and a great place to live for our staff and residents. In a nursing home your decisions make an immediate impact on the fulfillment of that mission. The work you do requires skill in leadership and executive decision making and impacts how the facility performs in delivering a necessary service to their community. As is the case with anything worth doing that makes an impact on society it requires sacrifice and commitment. It requires someone to give their heart and be their best selves but it also feeds their heart and the hearts of those they lead and care for.

Compensation is commiserate of that responsibility. Pay for an AIT is $65,000-$85,000 depending on where the training program is completed. However, upon gaining your license, the base salary will increase to the 6 figure administrator wage and you will be entitled to the administrator incentive program. Our administrators have an earning potential that is as high as their commitment and leadership skills will take it. Total compensation for our administrators is as much or more than doctors and lawyers.

If you are an aspiring leader who wants to be in a high impact role like this and is ready to commit to the responsibility of leading an organization that makes a difference in your community then apply today. Feel free to direct message me @David Mahrt.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited university
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (can be from work, school, sports, church, volunteer, etc.)
  • Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration or Masters Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration completed within the last 2 years
