Essential job functions for this Corporate Controller will include :

• Oversee key business strategies within the Finance and Accounting department relating to Financial Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting, Cost Management, Financial Analysis, Tax Compliance, and Relationship and Departmental Management.
• Monitor/oversee all daily financial matters, including but not limited to disbursements, AP/AR, invoicing, inventory transactions, customer chargebacks/deductions, reconciliations, costing, payroll, bank balances, cash management, and banking relationships.
• Optimize the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for financial management and reporting.
• Prepare and oversee the production of accurate and timely financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and manage the company's budget, working closely with other departments to gather information and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
• Provide financial forecasts and analyses to to evaluate the company's financial performance, support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including direct labor, overhead, and raw materials.
• Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for enhancing profitability and efficiency.
• Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial transactions.
• Conduct regular internal audits to identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Prepares schedules and analysis for all corporate external audits.
• Acts as a Project Manager for external audits to monitor auditor time and review completed audits for accuracy.
• Manage cash flow and implement strategies to optimize working capital, including inventory and receivables management.
• Responsible for the preparation of and compliance with all tax regulations including payroll, sales, federal, state, and local.
• Work with external tax advisors to optimize the company's tax position and minimize liabilities.
• Relationship management with external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
• Departmental management, leading the finance and accounting team, KPI's, and performance reviews

We're actively seeking Controllers with the following background profile :

• BA in Accounting is required, MBA/CPA strongly preferred.
• 5-10 years private industry or public accounting experience.
• In depth knowledge of accepted accounting principles.
• Proficient in NetSuite or similar ERP software.
