Job Description

The Director for the Accountable Care Organization (ACO) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing various aspects of the organization's operations, strategic initiatives, and program development. Reporting to senior leadership, the Director provides direction, guidance, and oversight to interdisciplinary teams, driving performance improvement, collaboration, and value-based care delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning:Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans, goals, and initiatives aligned with the ACO's mission, vision, and objectives, collaborating with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Program Development:Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of ACO programs and initiatives, such as care coordination, quality improvement, population health management, and value-based contracting.
  • Performance Management: Establish performance metrics, benchmarks, and targets to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ACO programs, clinical outcomes, and financial performance, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration:Foster collaboration and communication among interdisciplinary teams, including care management, provider relations, data analytics, finance, and information technology, to achieve organizational goals.
  • Quality Assurance:Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes, performance improvement initiatives, and patient safety protocols, promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Provider Engagement: Collaborate with provider relations team to cultivate positive relationships with healthcare providers, promote collaboration, and support initiatives to enhance provider engagement and satisfaction.
  • Data Analytics:Utilize healthcare data analytics tools and techniques to analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and derive actionable insights to support decision-making, care coordination, and population health management.
  • Regulatory Compliance:Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and contractual obligations related to accountable care contracts, healthcare privacy, and data security, collaborating with legal and compliance teams as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication:Serve as a liaison between the ACO and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, community organizations, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate communication, collaboration, and partnership.
  • Staff Development:Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and support to enhance skills, knowledge, and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 5+ years of Leadership experience in Accountable Care Organization
  • Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Significant experience in healthcare management, program development, or operations leadership, preferably within an accountable care organization, health system, or integrated delivery network.
  • Strong understanding of value-based care models, population health management principles, and healthcare regulatory and reimbursement frameworks.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive results in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics, and healthcare technology solutions, with a focus on leveraging data-driven insights to improve operational performance and patient outcomes.
  • Commitment to excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery and organizational effectiveness.

Work Environment:

The Director typically works in an office setting within the ACO's administrative headquarters, with frequent interactions with executive leadership, department heads, and interdisciplinary teams. The role may involve occasional travel to attend meetings, conferences, or site visits.

Salary:

Starting salary will be $150k base annually plus earned performance bonuses & benefits.
