This outdoorsy, first-time parent duo in Idaho Springs is seeking a warm, nurturing, and knowledgeable nanny to provide loving care for their infant son. They are looking for a patient and experienced caregiver who can support their little one’s development while also offering guidance and reassurance as they navigate parenthood.
Location: Idaho Springs, CO
Start Date: March 31, 2025
Children: 1 infant (born January 2025)
Compensation: $30-$35/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility for occasional weekend shifts)
Commitment: 12 months with potential to extend
A Day in the Life:
Summit Nannies is searching for a nurturing, knowledgeable, and adaptable nanny to join a loving family in the beautiful mountains of Idaho Springs! As first-time parents, they are excited to find a caregiver who can not only provide exceptional care for their baby but also offer guidance and support as they navigate this new chapter.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, developmentally focused nanny who fosters curiosity, independence, and emotional intelligence through play and exploration. The parents are seeking someone who can maintain a warm and calming presence, while also bringing energy and enthusiasm to engaging activities.
While the core schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, flexibility is appreciated—there may be occasional shifts traded for a weekend day, and opportunities for additional babysitting hours for date nights.
Responsibilities
• Provide attentive and developmentally appropriate care for an infant
• Support the baby’s milestones through play-based learning and sensory activities
• Assist in maintaining feeding, nap, and daily routines
• Offer guidance and support to first-time parents, helping them feel confident in their parenting journey
• Keep baby-related spaces tidy and organized
• Communicate openly with parents about their child’s progress and needs
Who You Are:
This role is perfect for a compassionate and proactive nanny who enjoys collaborating with parents while also bringing their own expertise and initiative to the position. The family is seeking someone who:
• Has extensive infant experience and is confident in supporting developmental milestones
• Brings a patient, calm, and emotionally intelligent approach to childcare
• Is adaptable and comfortable adjusting to a family’s evolving parenting style
• Maintains a positive attitude and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
• Loves the outdoors and enjoys incorporating nature into daily activities
• Is CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain certification before the start date)
• Comfortable with pets (the family has one cat)
