Job Description:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with foundry experience to support production operations on the 3rd shift at a leading industrial manufacturing facility. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with a strong focus on hands-on support and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute manufacturing engineering projects across the foundry.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operators, supervisors, and other engineers.
Spend approximately 75% of time on the shop floor to ensure process efficiency and quality.
Identify and implement process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
Support manufacturing line/process design and troubleshooting.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a foundry or heavy manufacturing environment (internship experience may be considered).
Strong collaboration and project management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work 3rd shift and overtime as needed.
U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship provided).
Preferred Skills:
Manufacturing line/process layout and design
SAP and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
CAD software such as Creo or AutoCAD
Controls engineering and safety system design
Robotics programming and troubleshooting
Additional Details:
Business casual dress code; steel-toe/metatarsal boots required from Day 1
May require travel to other facilities for training
Potential to drive utility vehicles inside the factory after completing site-specific training
