Job Description

Our fast-growing startup business is seeking a full-time contract (1099) Operations Manager. The ideal candidate must be able to create and maintain an efficient operational system to support our business needs, be comfortable multitasking, work cross-functionally with different business units, and have previous experience in related fields. We seek a highly motivated and proactive self-starter capable of working independently and taking the initiative to solve complex operational challenges.

 

Responsibilities

  • Establish workflow and procedures for MVP product launch and ongoing production.
  • Develop inventory management procedures and tracking.
  • Maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity, and reliability.
  • Manage the daily functions of the business as it evolves.
  • Grow and maintain a team as business needs increase.
  • Prepare ongoing and annual performance reviews and reevaluate processes.
  • Ensure regulatory, compliance, and legal rules are followed.
  • Manage budget to align with goals of business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or Associate) with equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in operations management and a strong supply chain and logistics background.
  • Experience overseeing product development cycles, from concept to production, including testing and validation to meet quality and performance standards.
  • Must have proven experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality control processes to ensure operational excellence.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, POS, and RMA Systems.
  • Ability to assess, develop, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Experience in mid-tech or emerging technology (startup experience is a plus).
  • The flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and growing organization.
  • Strong organizational and multi-task skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Comfortable working with multiple departments within the business and outside groups.
