Job Description

A growing player in the site access and ground protection industry is looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative to lead business development efforts across a defined territory. This role is focused on expanding market share and strengthening client relationships within sectors such as utilities, construction, civil contracting, oil and gas, and crane operations.

As a key contributor, you’ll be responsible for generating new business, managing existing accounts, and delivering top-tier access solutions through site visits, quoting, and collaboration with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Prospect, cold-call, and qualify leads to drive ground protection rentals and site access-related services
  • Conduct site assessments and develop tailored access plans and quotes
  • Support cross-functional sales efforts by collaborating with reps across related divisions
  • Manage and grow current accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and long-term loyalty
  • Respond to RFPs and bid opportunities within your region
  • Assist in resolving service, billing, or contractual issues
  • Maintain accurate records and activity tracking in CRM software

Operational Coordination

  • Ensure sales documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted promptly to internal operations teams
  • Collaborate with project managers and field crews to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality job execution
  • Conduct field measurements and labor estimates for project quotes
  • Oversee equipment and crew mobilization/demobilization
  • Keep clients informed throughout the life cycle of each project

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in outside sales and/or account management, preferably in access, construction, or equipment rental industries
  • Strong knowledge of construction phases, site safety, and equipment application
  • Excellent communication, client service, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel regularly across the region, including overnight trips
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and CRM tools
  • Physically capable of field work, including bending, lifting, kneeling, and other activities common to construction environments
