We are seeking a skilled Overhead Crane Technician to join our team covering the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting overhead cranes and hoists. This role requires strong electrical and mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities :
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and structural crane issues.
- Diagnose and repair motors, wiring, control panels, limit switches, and other electrical components.
- Adjust and replace gears, brakes, bearings, and other mechanical parts as needed.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and manufacturer safety standards.
- Provide detailed service reports and recommendations to customers and management.
- Respond to emergency repair calls and perform field service at client sites.
- Assist with crane installations and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including service truck and tools.
- Safely operate company vehicles, following all applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.
- Experience in crane maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, or industrial equipment repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems, VFDs (variable frequency drives), contactors, and PLCs (programable logic controllers).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Experience working with AC/DC motors, hydraulics, and gearboxes.
- Working knowledge of OSHA required guidelines for inspection and certification.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and lifting heavy equipment.
- Valid driver s license, reliable transportation and clean driving record required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Work Environmen t:
Industrial settings including manufacturing plants, warehouses, and construction sites.
Work may involve climbing ladders, working at heights, and lifting heavy components.
Exposure to loud noise, grease, industrial chemicals and seasonal weather conditions.
