Job Title: Tax Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join our one of our favorite client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as supporting tax planning initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various departments to respond to strategic and tax law changes, with the aim of fostering business growth and minimizing tax liabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in both compliance and planning activities within a small team setting.
• Support the calculation of estimated taxes and manage the annual compliance process.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings, including partnership, REIT, and corporate returns.
• Oversee the preparation of income tax returns by external consultants for multiple entities operating in various states.
• Coordinate and monitor tax compliance efforts with external consultants.
• Manage and assist with special tax-related projects, combining technical tax planning with accounting and business operations.
• Provide opportunities for career advancement and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in partnership tax, preferably with a Big 4 or large regional accounting firm.
• Proven ability to leverage existing knowledge and quickly learn new areas; experience in real estate is a plus.
• CPA license and/or a bachelor's degree in accounting or taxation.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, including balance sheets and income statements, and their impact on tax.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify issues and ask pertinent questions.
