Job Title: Trade Compliance Specialist (English-Spanish Bilingual)

Duration: 6-month contract

Pay Range: $50-55/HR

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that our international trade operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in customs compliance, trade regulations, and classification practices , along with a strong commitment to accuracy and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately classify imported and exported goods in accordance with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
• Manage and maintain compliance with USMCA certifications and rules of origin.
• Prepare, submit, and monitor U.S. Customs entries and ensure timely clearance of goods.
• Coordinate and monitor in-bond shipments, ensuring proper documentation and handling.
• Ensure adherence to regulations governing Foreign Trade Zones (FTZs) and Bonded Warehouses.
• Compile and submit required data and reports to Partner Government Agencies (PGAs).
• Liaise with internal departments, customs brokers, and government entities to ensure smooth import/export processes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. customs procedures, regulatory changes, and trade programs.
• Use Microsoft Office Suite and internal systems to manage compliance documentation and reporting.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in both English and Spanish in written and verbal formats.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience (3+ years preferred) in international trade compliance or customs operations.
• Deep understanding of HTS classification, USMCA regulations, and U.S. import/export procedures.
• Experience with customs entry writing, FTZ, bonded warehouse operations, and in-bond transportation.
• Familiarity with reporting to Partner Government Agencies (e.g., FDA, EPA, USDA).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to quickly adapt to new software.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• Certification in trade compliance (e.g., CCS, CUSECO) is a plus.
• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., electronics, energy, pharmaceuticals).
