Job Description

Summary:

Warehouse Associate is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules. Their duties include loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers, organizing incoming stock and putting the appropriate labels on outgoing parcels.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Company Safety Program and Policies while performing duties safely.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip safety checks on equipment to ensure its operational safety.
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
• Load and unload goods from trucks or trailers.
• Sign for shipments upon receipt and verify that the correct merchandise has been received.
• Stack products in their designated storage locations while following inventory control instructions.
• Receive and process warehouse stock products, including picking, unloading, labeling, and storing.
• Check loads to ensure they are secure.
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to the schedule, which includes loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping.
• Inspect merchandise thoroughly for any damages or discrepancies.
• Communicate with customers and sales staff, both by phone and in person, to inquire about and provide information on costs and orders, establishing
  and maintaining good customer relations.
• Perform inventory controls and uphold high quality standards for audits.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
• Report any discrepancies.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with all procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following Company safety guidelines and following Company policies.
• Must be able to work flexible hours. Hours vary by week.
• Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required
• High degree of attention needed to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environmen
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and reliable manner
• Maintain a clean & safe environment
• Forklift certifications per OSHA standards

Training + Experience:

• Forklift operator.
• Experience in construction and masonry materials.
• Equipment maintenance.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly working near moving mechanical parts in outside conditions, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust and concrete.
• Use hands, fingers, and physical strength to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
• Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination.
• Agility and physical stamina.

Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, caustic
chemicals, outside weather conditions, and vibration. It may also involve
exposure to wet/humid conditions, elevated places, fumes, extreme heat, and risk
of electrical shock. The noise level is moderate to loud. Reasonable
