Position Overview

The Warehouse Support will be focused on moving boxes, loading and unloading boxes and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. This role is a key to the smooth operation of a warehouse, ensuring products are stored, tracked, and shipped efficiently while maintaining safety and organization.

Key Responsibilities of Warehouse Operator

Receiving and Storing Products: When items come into the warehouse, you may be responsible for unloading boxes from trucks and storing them in the appropriate sections of the warehouse.

Organizing and Sorting: Ensuring that boxes are organized according to their size, type, or destination. This can include labeling boxes and making sure they’re easily accessible.

Packing Orders: If the warehouse fulfills orders, you could be involved in picking the right items and packing them.

Assisting with Loading and Unloading: Helping with both incoming and outgoing shipments by loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles.

Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the warehouse tidy and ensuring boxes are stacked safely to prevent accidents or damage.

Safety Compliance: Following safety guidelines for handling equipment and lifting heavy boxes, as well as wearing the necessary protective gear.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
