Status: Non- exempt; Full- time

Hours:  Monday – Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Salary Range: $21.50-$28.20 (Based on Experience)

Description:

Pana Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Informatics Professional to join our Health Information Technology team. This role plays a key part in enhancing patient care through optimized use of technology. You’ll work with clinical and administrative staff to ensure our electronic health records (EHR), financial systems, and health data tools are streamlined, efficient, and compliant with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Implement, maintain, and optimize financial and clinical information systems including EHRs.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to support and improve workflow efficiency and patient care delivery.
• Analyze clinical and financial data to drive process improvement and patient safety.
• Provide training and technical support to staff on information system use and best practices.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and work closely with the IT team and software vendors.
• Assist in developing clinical order sets and reporting tools.
• Ensure systems meet regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and meaningful use standards. Participate in informatics strategy planning aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements:

• High school diploma required; associate degree in computer science or clinical profession is preferred.
• Strong computer skills and software troubleshooting ability.
• Effective communicator with solid tech knowledge.
• Experience in healthcare settings and familiarity with EHRs preferred.
• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Active physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs with assistance).
• Frequent computer use; may lead to eyestrain.
• Possible exposure to clinical environments and materials.
• Moderate noise level work environment.
